Wound Care

Livingston Wound Care

Inglemoor Rehabilitation and Care Center’s distinguished wound care program is highly respected in the community. A full-time certified wound care nurse works with a wound care physician, who visits patients on a weekly basis, to determine what specific equipment or medication treatments are needed to ensure the best outcomes. The wound care program provides care for patients with colostomy or urostomy bags, wound vacs, and status post skin grafts. The program extends itself not only to treat vascular, diabetic, and decubitus ulcers and wound debridement but also to monitor post-surgical sites. Upon admission, all patients are assessed and interventions are implemented to prevent skin breakdown. All patients are assessed before admission to ensure that each individual’s specific needs can be met.

I will begin by saying that the staff at Inglemoor are exceptionally skilled and competent in addition to being friendly and kind. This is true of the medical/clinical staff, rehab department, physical/occupation therapy department, recreational staff, social workers, and others. The dietary department goes above and beyond in providing food that actually tastes good. And the housekeeping department is diligent in keeping things scrupulously clean.
